Payment schedule

Fees are per person, based on double occupancy, and vary with group size. A typical schedule for a signature journey:

Cancellation

• Before all trip details are published, there may be a nominal fee to reserve your space. This prepayment is applied toward your deposit once the full trip details are published, and is refundable if you cancel. The credit card fee is waived unless the prepayment is refunded; refunded card payments are subject to a 6% credit card fee.
• Once all tour details are published, usually 12–18 months before departure, a 10% deposit confirms your reservation. Any reservation prepayment already made is credited against that deposit. The credit card fee is waived for the deposit unless you cancel; if you cancel before the second payment, the deposit is refundable minus a 6% credit card fee on card payments and the 10% administration fee.
• Once the second payment is made, it is partially refundable, limited to funds not yet committed to hotels and travel providers on your behalf. Cancellation after the second payment is subject to the 10% administration fee. Second payments made by credit card incur a 3% credit card fee.
• On or after the final payment date, 90–120 days before departure depending on the tour, the full trip cost is non-refundable. Final payments made by credit card incur a 3% credit card fee.
• All cancellations are subject to a 10% administration fee. Refunds, where applicable, are further limited to amounts not already paid to third-party vendors on your behalf.

Payment methods

• Check or Zelle — no fees on any payment.
• Credit card — reservation prepayments and deposits have no card fee unless they are refunded after cancellation, in which case a 6% credit card fee applies. Second and final payments by card are subject to a 3% processing fee.
